Clients may directly make their own private referral, or they may be referred by their GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan in order to obtain a Medicare rebate on their psychology sessions.

An intake phone conversation is a brief, 5 - 10 minute phone call outlining our approach and is not a substitute for an initial consultation.

Please note that all GP referrals under a Mental Health Treatment plan have strict guidelines in order for the referral to be valid. See the AAPi GP Quick Reference Guide for more information.
The Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan currently provides rebates through Medicare for up to 10 (ten) sessions per calendar year. GP Reviews (and new referral letters) are required after the 6th psychology appointment, and again after 10 sessions. Re-referral letters must be current in order to claim a rebate on psychology sessions.

Think.Talk Therapy Services does not currently provide services for agency managed NDIS clients. However, we are able to provide invoicing for third-party billers (ie. for clients who are self-managed or plan-managed).
Please note that all consultations are by appointment only. Our administration and accounts staff are not situated on site, and therefore we are unable to welcome enquires from the public at our clinic rooms.

Prior to booking an appointment, all session fees and rebates will be discussed with you.
Psychology appointments generally last between around 45 - 55 minutes with session fees charged upon completion of the appointment. We are an electronic billing practice only, and cannot accept cash payment.
While Think.Talk Therapy Services chooses to keep psychology support affordable for more families, our fees also must reflect the quality and comprehensive service we provide, the costs of running a practice and the significant amount of non-billable time associated with each appointment (ie. for clinical record keeping, case conferencing, preparation for sessions, resource development, Medicare report writing etc).
The current cost of a regular session is $225 per 45-55 minute session.
After Hours (after 5:30pm or weekends) and urgent consultations will incur a $50 surcharge fee.
Rebates are only available to clients who have a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan (see below). Please note that all fees are payable in full before rebate information is submitted to Medicare for payment.
Think.Talk Therapy Services does not provide bulk billed consultations.
To access Medicare Rebates for psychological therapy appointments, please see your GP and ask if you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You may need to indicate to the staff at your Medical Centre that you require a longer appointment for this plan to be completed.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will require at least 2 business days notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments prevent clients who require urgent assistance or who are on the waiting list from being offered a service.

Our services are claimable through private health insurance.
Please discuss your level of cover with your private health insurer prior to booking a session, as the full fee will be charged.

Pricing is dependent on a number of factors. Contact the clinic to discuss your needs and we will provide a fixed price quote for the assessment, report and any follow up required with third parties (e.g., schools, GP, Paediatrician, etc.).
